If popcorn and pick and mix is what you like, you'll love the food.

If you walk through Stratford shopping centre going south away from Stratford station and look slightly to the right on the other side of the road on Stratford High street (opposite McDonald's) there's a great family run greasy spoon.
Harder and harder to find these days but for the price of a hot dog at the LS you can have the full fry up and feed your kids without your wallet crying.
Well worth popping your head through the door and seeing if it's for you. It's a point of my extreme prejudice that I don't spend a fucking penny in the stadium unless I am having a piss.

Go to the bar and stand at the end, wait 5 minutes and give it "oi how long do I have to wait for my fucking hot dog and beer you cunt, I've been stood here ages."
They will apologise and give you it.
Free.

I always eat before or after we'll away from the ground. I purchased a bottle of coke at the Atalanta game (£4 70) and vowed that would be the last penny i spent inside. Pre covid i had the odd pint of Deuchers or Iron ale inside but Tap East is where i prefer locally now. I very much miss the old days of Nathans pie & mash and Kens cafe (both now gone) Another thing the owners totally failed to comprehend We are not consumers, (we are fans) Neither are we fking american (so we dont want popcorn and slush puppies) We want street vendors who are also fans selling tshirts and badges (not fking half & half scarves) And last but by no means least geezers (& birds) with sausage fingers selling dodgy burgers & bacon rolls from a van or stall (not fking foot long hot dogs & nachos)

Much like this patron, or whatever, thing. If people want to pay the £6 per mth then so be it, but you then see it's members fawning over them on social media. anyone who criticises them get rounded on. people make money, i get that, but i find the release of the teamsheet early very unprofessional

Yeah, he's very clever at what he does. His sauces seem ok (I've only had it on one of his rolls, not bought a bottle), but you have to wonder how many are buying it just for the sweary name.

I never buy grub in the ground, quality is the main issue, price is a bit secondary but overall it’s always going to be a pisstake
There was a p&m stall down the side of The Bricklayers, a jacks a pop. Overall, not a pisstake.
If everyone boycotted the grub, they’d have to do better.

the ribman is an extraordinary businessman tbf. got all his followers to basically buy the machinery in the factory, and increases his prices for football games, yet folk rave about him

I bought four pints of Heineken at half time on Sunday and it came to £24.80.
Earning a six figure salary means that is just loose change for me and I'm happy to get in the "expensive" round for my mates, but nigh on a pony for four pints is a lot of money for some people.

I never bother. Usually eat before going or hang on until after. If I'm with my dad, just a cup of tea or bovril at half time (mind you, two teas was six quid on Sunday) if I'm with a mate, then just a pint at half time in the ground. Anything else from somewhere else.

Getting my 3 boys a hot dog each was a shock to the wallet
Will be taking something from home for them next time
Wasn’t expecting 22.50 and had been paying it at previous matches without noticing it tbh

Sydney, you rightly warn people off buying food, in any stadium.
Then you buy beer and criticise it. What were you expecting? A fine, full bodied real ale, or a crisp, continental pilsner lager?

Never understand anyone who buys stadium food, no matter where in the world its odds on over priced and shit, always had a pie and mash outside UP on the barking road, had to queue up for a while but well worth it, on my last visit to the London Stadium we had pie and mash before getting the train to Stratford, had couple of beers in the stadium but fuck me what a rip off that was for luke warm bats piss…..
Some of the vendors outside the stadium didn’t look too bad and the decent looking ones had plenty of business but it did seem expensive, surely get something better and cheaper at Westfield’s or around the station and then walking to the stadium.

The only food I've ever had in or near the LS was from the RIBMAN to see what all the fuss was about.
It was alright. It was one of the things that got me into cooking with a kamado.
